The genres are really tags from radio-browser.info. When someone adds a station to radio-browser they can add any tags they want. There are over 10,000 tags now and many of them only have 1 instance. Currently FrogRadio only shows tags as genres that have at least 50 instances. The Top Genres are the 25 tags that have the most instances. So while these tags are not really music genres, if properly used, they can be a good way to find stations that play certain kinds of music.

• Fixes for Countries and Country Flags

The country flags in FrogRadio come from this GitHub project. The project supplies a look up table to translate from the radio-browser country long names to the two letter country code the flag files are named. There are some country names that are spelled differently so I have yet another table to map the differently spelled country names to the correct country code. A couple bug fixes around highlighting rows in the station list for the currently playing station and it's enclosing folders.

I finally reduced the main Play/Pause buttons from three buttons down to a more standard single button (See image in previous blog post). The main new features for FrogRadio 2.0 are the sleep timer and a stream recording feature. The recording feature is only available in the direct download (non Mac App Store) version of the app.
